History

Sharon Fellowship Sharjah is one of the pioneering Malayalam Pentecostal Churches in the UAE. This spiritual fellowship was started on March 29th, 1996, by a small group of expatriate Malayalee brothers who were worshiping at the Dubai Sharon Fellowship Church while residing in Sharjah. This small gathering took place in the apartment of Br. Babu Varghese and his family in Sharjah. The congregation experienced a remarkable flood of God's blessings as the number of believers rapidly increased within a short period of time. In 1997, the congregation decided to relocate to Union Church Hall. Continuing to be blessed by God's favor, the congregation moved to Sharjah worship Centre Hall in 2005, marking an important milestone. Presently, church services are held at the Sharjah Worship Centre, and Bible classes take place at the Sharjah Union Church Hall. Initially, the congregation was led by Pastor Mathews George Mayalil. Subsequently, Pastor Joy George, Pastor Johnson Baby, Pastor P.P Philip, and Pastor Koshy Oommen rendered praiseworthy services, resulting in strengthened church activities and the addition of more people to the church. Since May 2022, Rev. Dr. K.B George Kutty has been ministering and providing strong leadership in the multifaceted ministries of the church.
